Hi, Friends!
It’s Easter week! Growing up in a Christian home, Easter was always a pretty big deal to me, and it still is! I remember waking up early to go to Sunrise Services, which were often led by my Dad. In Maine, it’s usually pretty cold still when Easter comes (it’s snowing today!) so Sunrise Services were always chilly! Afterwards, we would usually meet up with family for breakfast and egg hunts. 🙂
My mom always made us Easter baskets when we were younger. She was great at knowing exactly what little things would excite us the most! Whether a sweet purple jump rope, a certain beanie baby, or some other goodie, there was always a little something extra in those baskets along with the candy.
Although I’m not expecting an Easter basket as a 25 year old, I started thinking this week about what I would get excited about seeing in my basket this year! (Chris, if you’re reading this, I am not opposed to surprises. 😉 )
I’m also obsessed with curated things. Lists, boutiques, instagrams… If someone else does the work of finding exactly what I’m interested in and I then get to look at/purchase pretty things, sign me up!
Consider this my grown-up curated spring wish list.
S.W. Basics of Brooklyn Hibiscus Mask
I recently purchased the mini-essentials set from S.W. Basics, and I’ve really enjoyed using it so far. I heard about them through Hayley Williams initially, and I love their philosophy and their truly unique approach to skincare. Most of their products have only 3-5 organic ingredients like apple cider vinegar and tee tree oil. For a girl like me who is used to trying to find the strongest chemicals to blast the acne off of my face, it’s definitely a different approach, but it’s one that I know will benefit my skin in the long run! This Hibiscus mask is the next S.W. purchase on my list. It comes in a powder form, giving you the ability to mix if with whatever you would like according to what your skin needs. The best part – they are now sold in Target!
I am a horrible camera owner. I have an amazing giant leather bag from Madewell that I use as my every day purse… and as my camera bag. My instax gets thrown down into the bottom of that bag and smashed around all day long. As a result, I’ve definitely broken a few pieces already! This case would be perfect for protecting the more delicate pieces of my instax mini, as well as functioning as a strap for days that I don’t want to lug my giant purse around. Plus, I’m in love with all things palm print!
White + Gold Ceramic Ring Holder
I’m always taking my wedding rings off in the kitchen when I’m baking, and it makes me so nervous! This little ring holder would be an adorable place to keep my rings up on the kitchen windowsill.
Glossier Generation G Lipstick
Glossier just launched their “phase two” line, which includes this lipstick, a brow gel, and a concealer. Honestly, I really just want one of everything from both their phase one (skincare) and phase two collections! Their products seem to give you an instant cool-girl vibe and amazingly dewy skin. This lipstick looks so soft yet long-wearing. I’m eyeing the “crush” shade.
So this one isn’t crazy exciting, but I’ve been eyeing it for a while now! It’s the match to that big leather bag I talked about before. The best part about this wallet is that you can have it monogramed! In GOLD! There’s a matching passport cover as well that may make it’s way on to a future list. 🙂
My main goal for our apartment is to have it feel like when you walk through the door you’re walking into an Anthropologie, and this table runner would take me one step closer! Seriously, I’m always looking for simple ways to make this apartment feel both brighter and cozier at the same time. Our dining room is pretty boring right now, and I think this little guy would bring a nice subtle touch of boho, especially if I find some cute eclectic plates to mix in with my clean white ones.
One other way I’ve been trying to brighten up our little apartment is by using fresh cut flowers and potted plants! However, the fresh flowers only last about a week, and I keep killing my potted plants. I’ve even managed to kill a cactus (I blame the cats)! These pretty blooms would give a similar effect, and if I forgot to water them they wouldn’t turn brown! Plus, I’m obsessed with all things Magnolia Market these days.
What would you be asking for in your Easter basket this year? 🙂
Thanks for looking!

I wish I could leave pretty fresh cut flowers around my home. Especially in my office it would really liven things up. I blame my cats as well. They won’t let me have anything nice! 😉
