Hello, everyone. 🙂
If you’ve been following along with my blogging for a while now, you’ve seen quite a bit of Ashley’s face. Scroll back far enough, and you’ll find her senior portraits, her as a bridesmaid in Shelby’s wedding, and her and Zach’s engagement photos – and now, her wedding photos.
I know I’ve said it before, but it’s truly an honor to grow up alongside my clients. They’ve stuck with me through all my learning curves over the last few years and trusted me when my work was far from consistent. Spending a wedding day at a Bride’s hip always creates a bit of a special bond, but when it’s someone you’ve known for years, the feelings are even sweeter.
Ashley and Zach had their first dance as husband and wife while the lyrics “We are still kids, but we’re so in love” played in the background, and that is a pretty perfect summary of their day. I was reminded so strongly of my wedding day with Chris at various points throughout their day – when Zach saw Ashley for the first time during their first look and couldn’t stop saying “you look so pretty,” when they read their vows that they had written to each other through tears, when they joked and laughed together during quiet moments of the day. Although we dodged rain throughout the day (I’m starting to think I’m bad luck on a wedding day!), we had plenty of dry spells throughout the day to explore the grounds of the Audubon center and Massabesic Lake.
